Week 6 : My weekly routine and test preparations

This week, my daily routine has been the same as usual—attending classes and keeping up with my studies. However, I’m focusing more on revision this weekend since I have some important tests coming up next week. The subjects I’ll be tested on include Mathematics (Math), SWC, and NWC. To ensure I score well in my Semester 2 tests, I make sure to stay focused in class and take useful notes. Besides that, I also take the initiative to study independently by: Researching online – I look for additional references and watch YouTube videos to understand difficult concepts. Practicing on my own – I work on extra exercises to strengthen my understanding. Asking my classmates – If there’s anything I don’t understand, I discuss it with my friends to get clearer explanations. Preparing early is important to avoid last-minute stress. I hope my efforts will pay off and help me achieve excellent results!

Food Hunting: Our Mission to Find the Best Nasi Kerabu! This week, my friends and I embarked on a food-hunting adventure with a special mission – to find the best nasi kerabu! After some discussion, we all agreed to try Nasi Kerabu Mok Nab, located in Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur. This restaurant is well-known among nasi kerabu lovers, with many claiming it to be one of the best in Kuala Lumpur. Excited, we set off to experience it for ourselves. Upon arriving, the place was bustling with customers eager to enjoy Mok Nab’s nasi kerabu. The fragrant aroma of the dishes being served heightened our anticipation. Here, nasi kerabu is served with various side dishes such as ayam percik, grilled beef, solok lada, and a flavorful coconut sambal. With the first bite, we immediately understood why this place was so popular! The blue-colored rice, naturally dyed with butterfly pea flowers, was fragrant and fluffy. Combined with fresh herbs, thick and spicy budu (fermented anchovy sauce), and...

My First Time Cooking Kelantan-Style Stuffed Squid (Ketupat Sotong) Being from Kelantan, traditional food holds a special place in my heart. One of my all-time favorites is Ketupat Sotong, a classic dish that combines the rich, creamy sweetness of coconut milk with the chewy texture of squid. This week, I decided to try cooking it for the first time using my grandmother’s recipe. I grew up with her cooking, and every bite always brings back memories. I love Kelantan and I miss you, Grandma! Ingredients for Ketupat Sotong Before getting started, I prepared all the necessary ingredients: For the stuffed squid: ✔️ 10 medium-sized squids (cleaned, ink removed) ✔️ 1 cup glutinous rice (soaked for 2 hours and drained) ✔️ 1 pandan leaf (tied into a knot) ✔️ ½ teaspoon salt For the creamy coconut sauce: ✔️ 500 ml thick coconut milk (from 1 coconut) ✔️ ½ block of palm sugar (or more if you like it sweeter) ✔️ 3 tablespoons white sugar (adjust to taste) ✔️ 1 teaspoon salt ✔️ 2 pandan leaves...

Week 3 : week full of surprises !

This week has been truly special for me. I felt so happy and loved because my friend and my boyfriend surprised me with unexpected gifts—even though January isn’t my birthday month! These small yet meaningful gestures made my heart feel so warm, and I couldn’t be more grateful. An Unexpected Bouquet On Tuesday, after I finished my classes, my boyfriend surprised me with a bouquet of pink soap flowers. As a girl, I’ve always loved flowers, and pink happens to be my favorite color. The fact that he remembered and took the time to get something I love meant so much to me. I’m so grateful to have met someone like him—his thoughtfulness never fails to make me smile. A Thoughtful Gift from a Friend Then, on Thursday, my friend Athirah surprised me with a new skincare product. She got me the Numbuzin toner pad, something I had been wanting for so long but found a little too pricey for me to buy. The moment she gave it to me, I felt so touched—it wasn’t just about the gift itself, but the fact...
